NIelit

The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has launched this awareness program. With increasing smartphone usage and digital interactions, there is a growing need for cybersecurity awareness to mitigate the risks of cyber fraud. NIELIT, through its Haridwar center, regularly conducts workshops to educate government officials, senior citizens, and other stakeholders in Uttarakhand.

This awareness program focuses on empowering school leaders with cybersecurity knowledge to support a safer digital environment within educational institutions.

cyber fraud

With the growing use of smartphones and other digital mediums, cyber fraud has significantly increased, affecting people in every area. To address the challenges of cybercrime, Meity has desired to conduct the workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions each month to prevent cybercrime. While NIELIT Haridwar has been regularly conducting such programs in the state and has trained a large number of participants from cooperative banks, government departments of Uttarakhand, and universities and colleges, more and more efforts are being made to aware government officers, senior citizens, and women in Uttarakhand.
